A walk on Roker pier

Yesterday I had a visit from my brother and sister-in-law and we went down to the sea front for a walk before our evening meal. The sun was low in the sky and the pier and the lighthouse looked wonderful.

By the time we had walked to the end of the pier and started our return journey to the shore, the sun was more or less setting.

It was a great visit. This morning, after our guests left, I spent some time thinking about how I might wire up the humbucker to the tone and volume pots on my tadcaster. I used alligator clips to make some temporary connections, strummed my Baby Taylor over the pickup, and whacked the output into a 50 watt Marshall amp: it worked! I have a little more thinking to do and possibly a little more electrical experimentation. I need to start putting more thought into how to complete the dummy paint job before I do the graphic on the proper body.
